Organised in association with Not A Number Productions, The Grimm Up North film festival was launched in 2009.

Taking place in October 2009, the Grimm Up North horror festival was a celebration of the best in genre cinema – with a gala screening of The Descent 2, the UK premiere of Splintered and much, much more.

Highlights included appearances from stars of the screen, special events, screenings of horror classics, shorts and a preview of the most recent entry in the Resident Evil series of games. The festival was an unparalleled success as well as being a big hit with film fans from all over the UK.
